Overview

The Orchard is looking for a curious and intelligent Product Marketing Intern to collaborate with the team in driving demand and adoption for our offering. You will help to craft strategic messaging and positioning, execute on innovative ideas to bolster customer engagement, and learn the ins and outs of working on an agile, product-driven team.

 

We are looking for a creative problem solver who is open to challenge. You’ll provide solutions based on market research, competitive analysis, and target market development. You’ll also identify opportunities and create core customer-facing materials to support multiple functions of the business. This highly cross-functional and collaborative role provides unique exposure to a variety of departments.


Based in the New York Office, you’ll work directly with the product marketing manager who will give detailed guidance on a number of projects, help you develop key product marketing skills, and act as your mentor.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and sales teams to contribute to high-level strategic decisions

  • Create internal and external marketing materials for integrated communications, promotions, and educational purposes

  • Conduct market research and competitive landscape analysis

  • Practice and execute on core marketing principles

  • Learn how to articulate value from technical features to specific audiences.

Qualifications

About You:

  • A jack-of-all-trades: you excel when working across multiple disciplines and aren’t afraid to step outside your comfort zone

  • You’re fascinated with how people engage with technology both in their personal lives and at work

  • Critical thinker who is good at synthesizing large amounts of information into compelling and valuable messages

  • You stay up to date on current trends in technology, music, and digital marketing

  • Excellent communicator with an eye for design

  • Natural collaborator 

Requirements: 

  • You're a rising college junior or senior, enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program. 
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, English or other Liberal Arts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Applications
  • Familiarity with fundamental marketing concepts
  • An interest in the music/entertainment business is strongly preferred.
