The Orchard is looking for a VP, Business Intelligence and Analytics to join our dynamic NYC team.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead our business intelligence team including, but not limited to, setting the internally-facing analytics strategy of the company, managing and mentoring analysts on the team, and scaling the team to meet the needs of the organization
  • Oversee a team and help identify new reports and develop relevant solutions across the company’s multiple business units
  • Work closely with Product Management to identify potential opportunities to productize particular metrics or insights
  • Collaborate with Engineering to maintain catalog of all data entering the platform and identifying issues with data quality
  • Develop relationships with key senior level executives and support their goals by enhancing decision making through data and reporting on success metrics
  • Produce compelling narratives through data analysis and visualization for client and partner meetings
  • Be a hands on leader; work directly with team to solve particularly challenging cases and to share knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience overseeing analytics or business intelligence function.
  • Extensive experience with data exploration, data cleansing, or implementation of advanced statistics
  • Prior experience leading a team supporting multiple departments or verticals
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, information science, or related field; Masters’ or PhD in Statistics or related field a plus
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tooling, such as Tableau or Looker
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Love of music or film a plus
