  • Overview

    As a Marketing Consultant you will be responsible for supporting and facilitating all aspects of theatrical film marketing including coordinating meetings and calls, trailer and poster creation, MPAA approvals, proofreading, ordering of promotional items, basic accounting, managing in-house and offsite assets, updating status reports, generating meeting agendas, assisting with managing social media accounts and content creation.


    The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, resourceful, comfortable making calls to third parties and getting the necessary answers to get the job done. He/she will have a good knowledge of recent films and their marketing campaigns, pop culture, and social media. The candidate must also be punctual and dependable, have a pleasant demeanor and a positive attitude, a strong desire to learn, and a willingness to dive into any task no matter how big or small.


    • Set up calls and meetings
    • Assist with key art and trailers by delivering assets, collecting music and creative licenses and helping with delivery
    • Facilitate the creation, printing and distribution of materials
    • Get MPAA approvals for trailers—both advertising and online approval and receive TASA certification
    • Identify digital and traditional marketing opportunities and initiatives
    • Assist with all film social media account management and content creation
    • Order DVDs
    • Send screening links and troubleshoot as necessary
    • Oversee all invoicing and work closely with finance


    • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Good general knowledge of recent films of all sizes and their marketing campaigns
    • Ability to apply research and relationship skills to develop vendor partnerships
    • Strong motivation to innovate and advance our marketing strategies
    • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously
    • 2+ years of entertainment industry work experience, preferably in marketing
    • Graduate from film school preferred but not required
    • Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Excel, and Box preferred
